Mini-Grant Guidelines & Requirements

Are you a Bardstown City Schools educator with an innovative idea to enhance student learning? The Bardstown Foundation for Excellence in Public Education offers $1,000 Mini-Grants to support creative classroom projects that align with the existing curriculum.

Mini-Grant Timeline

Application Deadline

Online applications must be submitted by April 23.

Grant Reviews

Board reviews and selects mini-grants to fund at the May 1st meeting.

Award Announcement

In mid-May, Award winners are surprised in front of their students as part of our Prize Patrol celebration!

Eligibility & Application Criteria

Innovative & Impactful – Mini-grants must support original, engaging projects designed to enhance student learning.

Principal Endorsement – Applications must be approved and endorsed by the principal of the applicant’s school.

Original Projects Only – Previously funded projects will not be reconsidered.


✅ No Consumables – Grant funds cannot be used for consumable materials such as paper, crepe paper, or disposable supplies.

Partial Funding – The Foundation reserves the right to provide partial funding for selected projects.

Awardee Responsibilities

💰 Direct Vendor Payments – The Foundation will pay vendors directly upon receiving invoices for approved expenses.


🏫 District-Owned Materials – Any equipment or materials purchased with grant funds remain the property of Bardstown City Schools.


📍 Foundation Branding – Grantees must affix a Foundation decal to all grant-funded equipment and materials (available from Kelly Bedtelyon).

 

📸 Project Documentation – Notify Kelly Bedtelyon, Executive Director, of project implementation dates for documentation and photography.

 

📝 Impact Testimonial – A written testimonial detailing the project’s impact must be submitted within 30 days of implementation.

Applications must be submitted by April 23, 2025.
